Catering Staff

Well, basically we think we have the best catering staff in the whole of the United Kingdom!

First of all nobody trains these guys and gals better and more comprehensively than we do. The recruitment process begins with an online application followed by a phone interview, if they get through that they are invited to a meet and greet session (where we weed out the definite non-LOLA catering staff) and next a 4-5 hour skills session where we cover just about everything you can think of. 

If the catering staff last that long they are then assigned an Ambassador and they are given access to our series of online learning videos and of course a final test.

If that sounds like a lot - its not over yet! The budding catering staff have Ambassador Training, Bar Training, Supervisor Training and on-the-job coaching all of which make for some pretty damn good catering staff we reckon!

But that’s just part of the overall picture. We constantly strive to improve the quality of our catering staff so we have a series of measures in place to ensure this happens.

For example, our senior catering staff are asked to complete feedback forms after each event. That way we keep in touch with whats happening on the floor.

Most importantly of all though, we know our catering staff well. LOLA is a big, fun family and we work, party and train together and our clients notice the difference.

We think that if we can work hard to provide an environment where the catering staff can have fun even while flipping burgers then we have done a great job.
